I was born in Indonesia and completed my first degree in engineering in Singapore. As an electronic engineer, I successfully completed several turn-key manufacturing projects, locally and internationally. After about 6 years, I decided to pursue PhD in 2012 in Montréal, Canada. I am currently with the Rehabilitation Research Institute of Singapore (RRIS). As part of the RRIS management since 2024, I am covering the responsibilities of an Asst. Director for research leadership (grant writing, project management, and partnership engagement) and operations management (ethical compliance, project agreement, and OHS). During my free time, I enjoy unwinding with my wife and puppy through quiet routines that include savoring coffee or tea, listening to jazz, and reading, while aspiring to be mindful.

research interests
Movement is a fundamental human need regardless of age. Whether it involves reaching and grasping or ambulation and socializing, it relies on the sensorimotor system and cognitive ability. I am interested in quantifying and enhancing human performance in the context of neurorehabilitation using modern rehabilitation technology, with special interests in neural plasticity underlying skill learning.
